About
Hey! My name is Sarah Blackman AKA Sarahtonin. I grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona and made my way up to the beautiful mountain tops of Vail, Colorado, my home. My passion for fitness really blossomed here in the rockies. I fell head over heels with everything outdoors. From dirt biking to hiking, camping; you name it, I've done it! If you're looking for me, thats where you'll find me; outside! My nearest and dearest sport that holds a special place in my heart though is snowboarding. It's what drove me to the valley. Mountain sports are truly humbling and brought me to the realization that if I want to be an athlete, I need to move my body like an athlete. Daily.
If you catch me some place inside, well, its most likely in the gym. My home away from home is what I like to call it. I had a healthy upbringing, so nutrition was always a way of life for me, but as far as sports, I didn't really do too many of them as a young adult. I preferred the stage; singing, acting, and dancing. I loved it, and still do, but I realized as I was going into my 20's that I needed and craved a new outlet. I found a gym. The place for me to truly grow and work on myself physically and mentally. I originally went to college for Hospitality Management, and while at my old Front Desk job, I would stand there and research anything and everything fitness and nutrition related. I had an epiphany and realized I was going to school for the wrong thing. In 2013 I packed my bags, drove to Colorado, and started my journey into the life of health and fitness.

In 2017 I decided to take my fitness to another level and compete in a bodybuilding competition. I completely transformed my body and my mindset. It was one of the most challenging yet incredible things I have ever done. I placed 2nd in my class for NPC bikini.

This brings me to why I became a personal trainer. I want to help others achieve their fitness goals, but most importantly, teach men and women about athleticism for quality of life. I teach and reteach people how to fall in love with their bodies not just aesthetically, but for functionality and longevity. It is by far the most fulfilling job I have ever had. I actually don't even consider it a job, its my purpose. Seeing people from all over the world push themselves out of their comfort zones, sweat, tears and all, during one of my sessions or classes is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I am not the only one that can see their full potential, they can see it for themselves. One thing I have learned that you will soon find out is; success comes outside of your comfort zone. How uncomfortable are you willing to get to achieve your dreams?
